They included dog agility obstacles including a tunnel, balancing beam, and hoops to jump through. There are a few young trees for shade so you and your dog can cool off. They recently resodded this area to prevent muddy paws.
When you and your pup stop into the leasing office, you’ll be greeted at the front desk with some puppy treats, big smiles, and a tummy rub offering or two! The staff members say that they sometimes remember the dog’s name better than the owner. They love greeting your furry friend with a milk bone. One staff member recalls a golden doodle puppy, who, though was pretty big, was still growing into herself and was quite clumsy. He went to give the puppy a treat, and she got so excited, that she threw her paws up on the desk in the leasing office and then fell backward. “That was pretty memorable,” he said.
The leasing office sets out fresh water bowls every day for their residents and pays close attention to both their human guests and four-legged occupants! They’ll occasionally call in a local frozen dog yogurt truck, especially in the thick of those summer months, so that the dogs who live at The Duke can get a sweet treat and beat the dog days of summer (get it?). They even did a doggy photo contest between all of the residents for a fun competition, which is something both staff and guests look forward to. And to close out pool season and bid farewell to summer, on the last day of their pool being open, they allow all the dogs to swim. What a fun way to cool off!
Though The Duke is very pet friendly, they have the standard breed restrictions that most apartments do: Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, and Chows are not allowed. Though these breeds are restricted, they have no size limitations. Most breeds can live at The Duke.
